Description
Abdominal ultrasound allows examination of the liver, gallbladder, pancreas, spleen, kidneys and major abdominal vessels. It is a non-invasive, painless technique without ionising radiation.
Practical Information
20-30 minutes
Fast for 6-8 hours before the test. Water is permitted. Do not smoke or chew gum.
