Description
Hysterosalpingography (HSG) is a radiological study that allows visualisation of the uterine cavity and fallopian tubes through contrast injection. It is essential in fertility studies and allows detection of tubal blockages, uterine malformations and other anomalies.

20-30 minutes
Perform between days 6 and 12 of the menstrual cycle. No unprotected sexual intercourse since the last period. You may take an analgesic (ibuprofen) 1 hour before the test.
